Due to the numerous requests for a draping instruction, we have prepared the following instruction for you in cooperation with a costume designer. On the following eight pages, you will learn step by step how to drape a sari. (Start Sari draping instruction)

Each sari is a little different. You may have to adapt some steps depending on your sari's fabric (heavy silk, light silk, cotton etc.). Draping a sari requires a little practising. You should allow some time and a couple of attempts, and you will be sure to succeed.
